Awesome tender story of childhood friendships taking an oath to serve one another forever. The story takes a twist when one chooses to follow the voice of the world, breaking the bond of friendship and her life's choices that lead only to calamity. The other's feelings of rejection by both parent's, friend and true love leads to her life of abundance and joy. Both stories are entwined around Joseph and his own story of betrayal by his own brothers and not having his true love, an Egyptian maid servant, Tuya. Beautiful story of love between two and forgiveness and redemption of friends.
Favorite quote from the book:"And I, having known love, could not live on kindness".

My rating is a 5/5 stars....a definite must read!! Looking forward to Angela's sequel!
